Casey Holmes Spotlight Palette in Pearl Review and Swatches

I’m excited to review this product, I have been waiting to buy this palette for so long now! I was so excited when I went to Sephora to pick this palette up for Christmas. I actually really love Casey Holmes’ YouTube videos and that was the main reason  I wanted to try this palette out! This product retails for $35 USD at Sephora and this is where I purchased the palette. This product contains 0.30 oz/ 8.61 g of product. The specific one I bought came with a how-to card on the inside that provides tips for three different looks created by Casey Holmes.

The colors include Turn it on Pearl, Crank it up Pearl, and Blow a Fuse Pearl. There are two different variations of the palette the pearl and the gold palette. The Pearl palette is said to be meant for lighter and more fair skin colors and the Gold Palette is said to be meant for darker or more deep skin colors.

This palette looks like this on the outside:

I love the look of the boxing for the palette I think they did a great job on it! I did purchase this product at Sephora and they just so happened to have the Casey Holmes version of the product, which I was extremely happy about because that is the specific one I wanted to buy.

The inside of the palette looks like this:

I think the packaging was put together very well and I enjoyed opening it up and finding the create-a-look paper inside. It was a nice extra that I didn’t think would be inside.

Below are the swatches of the three highlights from the palette:

It is slightly difficult to see in the picture but I do really like the blow a fuse pearl highlight color. I think I could have gotten the gold palette because my skin tone is more medium than fair but the colors still turned out pretty well!

Price-wise, you can get the Anastasia Beverly Hills Ultimate Glow Kit for $45 and you get larger pan sizes and three additional highlight colors.

PROS: packaging, extras included, pigmentation, feels light on the skin, highlights can be combined for more intense highlight, and build able.

CONS: two colors on pearl palette didn’t show up as well on medium skin, price is a little high for what you get, and limited edition Casey Holmes version is only available at select times.

FINAL VERDICT

Worth the buy and I do recommend!
